These days she’s almost exclusively remembered for the song “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” but there was a time when Crystal Gayle was all over country radio. From 1976-1987, she had dozens of hits. She also had that ankle-length hair, and she was Loretta Lynn’s sister. All of this made her a superstar, at least in my neck of the woods.
